The Valley Experience – Pastor A. Akhaine

We sometimes find ourselves in the valley of pain, delay, disappointments, failure, sickness, regrets, poverty, and frustrations but with God on our side it can also be a valley of blessings. Here are some valley that God want to turn to be blessings.

1. A Place of Decision: Joel 3:14 Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision: for the day of the LORD is near in the valley of decision. We should now seek a deep and living experience in the things of God. We have not a moment to lose. (The Faith I Live By, 329). Many are convinced that we have the truth, and yet they are held as with iron bands; they dare not risk the consequences of taking their position on the side of truth. Many are in the valley of decision, (Testimonies for the Church, vol. 1, 646)

2. Valley of Hope: Hosea 2:15 And I will give her vineyards from thence, and the valley of Anchor for a door of hope: and she shall sing there, as in the days of her youth, and as in the day when she came up out of the land of Egypt. Hosea assures the people that Israel’s affliction will open to them in the future the “door of hope,” the door of restoration from captivity. Likewise the troubles of life that come to us, if accepted and patiently endured in the right spirit of humility and abiding faith in God, are but the “doors of hope” opening to us larger possessions of soul power (SDA Bible Commentary). A symbolic language Hosea set before the ten tribes God’s plan of restoring to every penitent soul who would unite with His church on earth, the blessings granted Israel in the days of their loyalty to Him in the Promised Land. Referring to Israel as one to whom He longed to show mercy, the Lord declared (Prophets and Kings, 298).

3. Valley of Blessings: 2 Chronicles 20:26 and on the fourth day they assembled themselves in the valley of Berachah; for there they blessed the LORD: therefore the name of the same place was called, the valley of Berachah, unto this day. The site in commemoration of the remarkable deliverance God granted His people from their enemies. What might have been a valley of death became a valley of life, and what might have been a place of cursing became a place of blessing. (SDA Commentary)

4. Valley of Confidence: Psalms 23:4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Let us never forget, even when we walk in the valley, that Christ is as much with us when we walk trustingly there as when we are on the mountaintop. The voice said to us, “Will you not roll your burden upon the Burden Bearer, the Lord Jesus Christ? Will you not live on the sunny side of the cross? Saying, ‘I know [Him] whom I have believed, and am persuaded that He is able to keep that which I have committed unto Him against that day.’(Mind, Character, and Personality, vol. 2, 811). Let us live in the sunlight of the cross of Calvary. Let us no longer dwell in the shadow, complaining of our sorrows, for this only deepens our trouble.

5. Valley of Fruitfulness: Numbers 32:9 for when they went up unto the valley of Eshcol, and saw the land, they discouraged the heart of the children of Israel that they should not go into the land which the LORD had given them. You can be fruitful in your valley of nothing. In you valley of Eshcol you can behold and experience your promise land.

6. Valley of Refreshment: Psalms 84:6 who passing through the valley of Baca make it a well; the rain also filleth the pools. God’s blessing rests upon everything that the pilgrims behold because their hearts are full of joy as they make their pilgrimage. (SDA Bible Commentary). While the followers of God are passing through the wilderness of this world, God opens for them fountains in the wilderness, and springs in the dry places. They drink of the well-spring of salvation;

7. Valley of victory: 1 Samuel 17:2 And Saul and the men of Israel were gathered together, and pitched by the valley of Elah, and set the battle in array against the Philistines. Every philistines battling against you and your family, God will give you victory.

Review of the Great Disappiontment by Pastor Eddy T. Azanor

Today was a special Sabbath in church. I took time to review the Millerite experience of the great disappointment of October 22, 1844. I painted how bittersweet the experience really was as predicted in Revelation 10. I showed the congregation the silver lining in that dark cloud of disappointment, namely, to cure the last remnant church from the dangers of accepting popular theology without searching the scriptures for a thus saith the Lord. Let me explain:

If God did not allow the disappointment, there would never have been a movement like ours that will accept nothing except it can be proven and substantiated by the Word.

I explained that October 22, 1844 was actually disappointment two(called D2 henceforth) . Disappointment two (D1) happened at the cross when the disciples were devastated because they were not anticipating him dying on the cross. They had bought into the popular theology of the times that the Messiah will come and defeat the Romans and establish an earthly kingdom as the Millerite would later do by believing the earth was the sanctuary. Are you beginning to see the parallels?

So when the disciples went forth preaching the kingdom of God, the event in their minds did not tally with Christ’s way of establishing His kingdom. But does this mean that God was not with them in their preaching? Why shouldn’t we reach the same conclusion for the Millerite, especially as Revelation 10 predicted their experience as Christ predicted the one of the disciples?

Then with Leviticus 16, Daniel 7,8 & 9, I showed how the Day of Atonement in the ancient earthly sanctuary prefigured the antitypical day of judgment that has been on since 1844.

No one left fearing about their salvation as the Fordites will have us believe. They were told the we are living in serious times when we need to cooperate with divinity to work out our salvation with fear and trembling, no doubt. This is no time to trifle with sin. I told them only known unconfessed and unforsaken sins will stand against them in this pre-Advent, investigative judgment. The reason the Fordites are not comfortable with this foundational Adventist doctrine is because they believe in a sin and live theology that doesn’t agree that we can overcome all sins and live in the presence of God after the close of probationary time without an intercessor in the heavenly sanctuary(Revelation 22:11,12). They view character perfection as schimera or a mirage. This is as a result of their wrong definition of sin and salvation.

But if you are serious enough to confess all your known sins and depend on the power of the Holy Ghost to give you love for Christ enough to make you wanna choose death before sin as did Joseph, Job, Daniel, Shadrach, Meshack, Abednego, Naboth, etc., you will be kept from fall by that power.

Fordism is anti-Scripture, anti-SOP and anti-Adventism. That Jesus is in the judgment for you to blot out your confessed and forsaken sins should give you all the assurance there is unless you cherish a theology that doesn’t believe in the total deliverance from the thralldom of sin. Let me let you know where this theology that denies the power thereof is leading to with a quote from the book you must read or reread :

“The great controversy between Christ and Satan, that has been carried forward for nearly six thousand years, is soon to close; and the wicked one redoubles his efforts to defeat the work of Christ in man’s behalf and to fasten souls in his snares. TO HOLD THE PEOPLE IN DARKNESS AND IMPENITENCE TILL THE SAVIOUR’S MEDIATION IS ENDED, AND THERE IS NO LONGER A SACRIFICE FOR SIN, IS THE OBJECT WHICH HE SEEKS TO ACCOMPLISH” (Ellen G. White, The Great Controversy, p. 518).

Did you catch that? I pray and hope you do. In case you didn’t: Don’t let false philosophies and theology trap you in the cheep grace, sin and live theology that is calculated to make you comfortable in your sins until Christ’s intercession in the heavenly holy of holies is past and Satan secures your soul for perdition.

Happy October 22, 1844 in 2016. God bless you.

Injuries During Long Prayers in Public – Necessary?

Injuries During Long Prayers in Public – Necessary?

Prayers in pubic should be short and characterized by a natural tone of voice —The long prayers made by some ministers have been a great failure. Praying to great length, as some do, is all out of place. They injure the throat and vocal organs, and then they talk of breaking down by their hard labor. They injure themselves when it is not called for. Many feels that praying injures their vocal organs more than talking. This is in consequence of the unnatural position of the body, and the manner of holding the head. They can stand and talk, and not feel injured. The position in prayer should be perfectly natural. Long praying wearies, and is not in accordance with the gospel of Christ. Half or even quarter of an hour is altogether too long. A few minutes’ time is long enough to bring your case before God and tell Him what you want; and you can take the people with you and not weary them out and lessen their interest in devotions and prayers. They may be refreshed and strengthened, instead of exhausted.

Prayer need not be long or loud—Prayer is not understood as it should be. Our prayers are not to inform God of something He does not know. The Lord is acquainted with the secrets of every soul. Our prayers need not be long and loud. God reads the hidden thoughts. We may pray in secret, and He who sees in secret will hear, and will reward us openly.—(Messages to Young People, 247.) Pr 216.

A mistake has been made by many in their religious exercises in long praying and long preaching, upon a high key, with a forced voice, in an unnatural strain and an unnatural tone.—(Testimonies for the Church 2:617.) Food for thought.

Finishing The Reformation With Pastor Eddy Thompson

Finishing The Reformation With Pastor Eddy Thompson

“The Reformers of the 16th century had done much to bring people back to the primitive Christianity of apostolic times. While they did not live long enough to see their work fully carried through, they had laid a deep and broad foundation for their children to build upon; namely, faith in “the Bible, and the Bible only.” They expected their followers to carry their work through to a triumphant conclusion. But after the death of the Reformers, the Jesuits nearly wrecked the work of the Reformation, and some of the Protestant countries formed state churches to protect themselves from utter annihilation.

“The popes and the Jesuits worked incessantly in conjunction with the bishops and the heads of the larger Catholic states to force the smaller Protestant countries back under the papal rule. This compelled Protestant princes to make common cause and stand together to save the day, as was the case in the Thirty Years’ War.

“After the worst storm had blown over, the Protestant churches found themselves under the protection and control of the state. They were no longer free to accept more light, and to progress along the way they originally had started. The state now dictated what they should believe and teach, who should be taken into church fellowship, and who should be their leaders. Their growth was stunted, their spiritual life stifled. Instead of progressing along the line of reform, they retrograded and gave up several of the points of truth held by the Reformers. This was especially true during the period of Rationalism in Europe. But God’s work must go on to completion. No human consideration can stop it, and the time has now come for the work of the Reformation to be finished”(Christian Edwardson, FACTS OF FAITH(Southern Publishing Association, NT., 1943), p.159.

What is our part in this work of Finishing the Reformation? Inspiration tells us:
“This work must be done. The end is near. Already much time has been lost, when this books should have been in circulation…. Scatter then[the books] like leaves of autumn. This work is to continue without the forbidding of anyone. Souls are perishing out of Christ. Let them be warned of His soon appearing in the clouds of heaven”(Ellen G. White, REVIEW AND HERALD, Aug. 13, 1908).

So why should we be so serious as well as excited about sharing the unabridged THE GREAT CONTROVERSY as we celebrate the jubilee of jubilees to fan the dying embers of true Protestantism into a mighty inferno once again? The messenger of the Lord to the remnant answers in the following two quotes:

“THE GREAT CONTROVERSY should be very widely circulated. It contains the story of the past, the present, and the future. In its outline of the closing scenes of this earth’s history, it bears a powerful testimony in behalf of the truth. I am more anxious to see a wide circulation of this book than any others I have written; for in THE GREAT CONTROVERSY, the last message of warning to the world is given more distinctly than in any of my other books”(Ellen G. White, LETTER 1, 1890. See also COLPORTEUR MINISTRY, 127.1).
“By reading it[THE GREAT CONTROVERSY], some will be aroused, and will have courage to unite themselves at once with those who keep the commandments of God. But a much larger number who read it will not take their position until they see the very events taking place that are foretold in it. The fulfilment of some of the predictions will inspire faith that others will come to pass, and when the earth is lighted with the glory of the Lord, in the closing work, many souls will take their position on the commandments of God as a result of this agency”(MANUSCRIPT 31, 1890. See also COLPORTEUR MINISTRY, 128.4).

Surely this is a movement of destiny and the privilege is ours to be part of it. Nothing should be more exciting as you consider the present reality of the last quote! Are you aware that the events prophesied in THE GREAT CONTROVERSY are so amazing and are fast coming to pass? Three quick examples will do to convince you of this fact:

1) She predicted that the US will become a world superpower(You will be regarded a lunatic if you say that when she did–over a hundred years ago).
2) She foretold that apostate Protestantism will make alliance with Rome and such a union will lead lead to the forming of the image of the sea beast of Revelation 13–union of church and state that will lead to the final tribulation(This is happening right before our eyes).
2) She prophesied that Rome will try to cover her horrible past with apologies but she(Rome) will remain unchanged while the deluded and fallen Protestant world will be making all the changes and concessions in the alliance we call ecumenism–giving up their historic beliefs (If you are awake to the signs of the times, you will know this has gone far in its fulfilment).

Do you see why we must make haste to get the word out in these final hours of probationary time?

Join ARMY OF VOLUNTEERS FOR CHRIST(AVC) in fervent prayers so that all the ploys of the devil to stop or slow down this initiative to be truncated by God in Jesus’ name.

Plan to register for the conference coming up in October/November 2017 and sacrificially contribute your quoter to see the truth triumph in the end and God will not forget your sacrifice of love to make others see the light of the present truth and be saved before it’s too late. May your contributions and participation make positive eternal difference in the lives of many. Amen.

The Path Way – Pastor A. Akhaine

the path way

There is myth that says that all religions are basically identical and that we have the same universal fatherhood of God that make us brother and sisters. Some also believes that Christianity is simply one way of life among many. While other says that Christians are biased to think Jesus is the only way to heaven. But whatever people view about the path way to heaven Jesus tells us that “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John14:6. The bibles gives us some basic description of the path way to God.

The Path Way
Strait. “Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it” (Matt.7:14) Strait in this context is define as a situation that is difficult or involves hardship. The ESV translate Matt.7:1) for the gate is narrow and the way is hard that leads to life, and those who find it are few. When we read that many will seek to enter in and shall not be able, then we want to understand what we shall do in order to succeed. This to us is a mournful statement, that there are those who will fail to enter in at the strait gate because they only seek to enter in, and do not strive. . . . {HP 263.2} No matter the struggles you are going through as a result of your path way to heaven, the pitying Saviour stands right by your side to help you. He would send every angel out of glory while you are struggling to overcome sin, so that Satan cannot have the victory over you. Christ . . . took man’s human nature upon Him that He might come right down to man in the temptation wherewith man is beset. The pitiful Redeemer knows just how to help us in every one of our strivings. {HP 263.6} Christ has not promise us a bed of roses pilgrim path to heaven but he has promised us his abiding present. John 16:33″I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” NIV my friend you are not alone with the struggles of life cheer up.
[post_ads_2]

Narrow. The path to heaven is narrow, the path is unpopular, self must be denied, the body kept under, corruptions mortified, that are as a right eye and a right hand; daily temptations must be resisted; duties must be done that are against our inclination. We must endure hardness, must wrestle and be in an agony, must watch in all things, and walk with care and circumspection. We must go through much tribulation. (Matthew Henry’s) If we meet with hardships in our work, let us look to Him who is the Author and Finisher of our faith. Then we shall not fail nor be discouraged. We shall endure hardness as good soldiers of Jesus Christ. Remember what He says of all true believers: “We are labourers together with God: ye are God’s husbandry, ye are God’s building.” 1 Corinthians 3:9. {6T 335.1}. Many fail to understand why God permit hardship but God permits us to encounter obstacles, persecution, and hardships, not as a curse, but as the greatest blessing of our lives. Every temptation resisted, every trial bravely borne, gives us a new experience and advances us in the work of character building. The soul that through divine power resists temptation reveals to the world and to the heavenly universe the efficiency of the grace of Christ. {MB 117.1} The path is too narrow that it cannot contain any extra luggage of this world and her attractions.

Peaceful. But the meek shall inherit the earth; and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace. (Ps. 37:11) God assurance for who tread the path to heaven is peacefulness. The wicked are like the troubled sea, when it cannot rest. . . . There is no peace, saith my God, to the wicked.” Isaiah 57:20, 21. Sin has destroyed our peace. While self is unsubdued, we can find no rest. The masterful passions of the heart no human power can control. We are as helpless here as were the disciples to quiet the raging storm. But He who spoke peace to the billows of Galilee has spoken the word of peace for every soul. However fierce the tempest, those who turn to Jesus with the cry, “Lord, save us,” will find deliverance. His grace, that reconciles the soul to God, quiets the strife of human passion, and in His love the heart is at rest. “He maketh the storm a calm, so that the waves thereof are still. Then are they glad because they be quiet; so He bringeth them unto their desired haven.” Psalm 107:29, 30. “Being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.” “The work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance forever.” Romans 5:1; Isaiah 32:17. {DA 336.4}Pr. 3:6 in all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Though the troubles of this world may be furious and beyond our understanding, in the mixed of this Christ promises us peace that passes all understanding.

Shining. Prov.4:7 Wisdom is supreme; therefore get wisdom. Though it cost all you have, get understanding. 8 Esteem her, and she will exalt you; embrace her, and she will honor you. Walking in the path of makes you exceptional and outstanding from the world. We are to reflect the glory of God to a world that is full of darkness. The word of God enlighten our heart any time we diligently study it. A bright light shines upon our pathway today, and it leads to increased faith in Jesus. We must receive every ray of light, and walk in it, that it may not be our condemnation in the judgment. Our duties and obligations become more important as we obtain more distinct views of truth. Light makes manifest and reproves the errors that were concealed in darkness; and as light comes, the life and character of men must change correspondingly, to be in harmony with it. Sins that were once sins of ignorance, because of the blindness of the mind, can no more be indulged in without incurring guilt. As increased light is given, men must be reformed, elevated, and refined by it, or they will be more perverse and stubborn than before the light came. {GW 162.2}. We are to shine the light of God to the people around us to lead them to the path of hope and joy. Care should be taken that we don’t misrepresent the light of God to the world through our character. Our standing before God depends, not upon the amount of light we have received, but upon the use we make of what we have. Thus even the heathen who choose the right as far as they can distinguish it, are in a more favorable condition than are those who have had great light, and profess to serve God, but who disregard the light, and by their daily life contradict their profession.–The Desire of Ages, p. 239. {ChS 96.2}
Fruitful. In a world of spiritual dryness God promises fruitfulness. If you are in the path to heaven it will be appropriate to asked the following questions, have you been fruitful? Have you been fruitful with your wealth? Have you been fruitful with your talent? Have you been fruitful with your time? What are you doing for Jesus now? C. H. Spurgeon. Ps. 65:11 you crown the year with your bounty. Your carts overflow with abundance. God alone can cause to be fruitful in the barren world sin. Ezek. 36:34. The desolate land will be cultivated instead of lying desolate in the sight of all who pass through it. 35 They will say, “This land that was laid waste has become like the Garden of Eden; the cities that were lying in ruins, desolate and destroyed, are now fortified and inhabited.” 36 Then the nations around you that remain will know that I the Lord have rebuilt what was destroyed and have replanted what was desolate. I the Lord have spoken, and I will do it. People should see in us good tree bearing good fruit. True worship consists in working together with Christ. Prayers, exhortation, and talk are cheap fruits, which are frequently tied on; but fruits that are manifested in good works, in caring for the needy, the fatherless, and widows, are genuine fruits, and grow naturally upon a good tree. — Review and Herald, Aug. 16, 1881. {ChS 96.5}. Our fruitfulness is determine by our connection with Christ. As the branch must abide in the vine to obtain the vital sap which causes it to flourish, so those who love God and keep all His sayings must abide in His love. Without Christ we cannot subdue a single sin or overcome the smallest temptation. Many need the Spirit of Christ and His power to enlighten their understanding, as much as blind Bartimaeus needed his natural sight. “As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in Me.” All who are really in Christ will experience the benefit of this union. The Father accepts them in the Beloved, and they become objects of His solicitude and tender, loving care. This connection with Christ will result in the purification of the heart and in a circumspect life and faultless character. The fruit borne upon the Christian tree is “love, joy, peace, long-suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance.” {4T 355.1}
Old. Thus says the Lord: “Stand in the ways and see, and ask for the old paths, where the good way is, and walk in it; Then you will find rest for your souls. But they said, ‘We will not walk in it.’ NKJV. Jere.6:16. The society celebrate new ways of doing things, new discoveries, new doctrine, new fashion an old tells us “ give me that old time religion is good enough for me. Let back to the old doctrine of the Bible. The Sabbath of the lord still stands, the sanctuary teaching is relevant to us today to assure us of Christ ministry for us in heaven. The old path is the path that lead to heaven.
