the path way

There is myth that says that all religions are basically identical and that we have the same universal fatherhood of God that make us brother and sisters. Some also believes that Christianity is simply one way of life among many. While other says that Christians are biased to think Jesus is the only way to heaven. But whatever people view about the path way to heaven Jesus tells us that “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John14:6. The bibles gives us some basic description of the path way to God.

The Path Way
Strait. “Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it” (Matt.7:14) Strait in this context is define as a situation that is difficult or involves hardship. The ESV translate Matt.7:1) for the gate is narrow and the way is hard that leads to life, and those who find it are few. When we read that many will seek to enter in and shall not be able, then we want to understand what we shall do in order to succeed. This to us is a mournful statement, that there are those who will fail to enter in at the strait gate because they only seek to enter in, and do not strive. . . . {HP 263.2} No matter the struggles you are going through as a result of your path way to heaven, the pitying Saviour stands right by your side to help you. He would send every angel out of glory while you are struggling to overcome sin, so that Satan cannot have the victory over you. Christ . . . took man’s human nature upon Him that He might come right down to man in the temptation wherewith man is beset. The pitiful Redeemer knows just how to help us in every one of our strivings. {HP 263.6} Christ has not promise us a bed of roses pilgrim path to heaven but he has promised us his abiding present. John 16:33″I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” NIV my friend you are not alone with the struggles of life cheer up.

Narrow. The path to heaven is narrow, the path is unpopular, self must be denied, the body kept under, corruptions mortified, that are as a right eye and a right hand; daily temptations must be resisted; duties must be done that are against our inclination. We must endure hardness, must wrestle and be in an agony, must watch in all things, and walk with care and circumspection. We must go through much tribulation. (Matthew Henry’s) If we meet with hardships in our work, let us look to Him who is the Author and Finisher of our faith. Then we shall not fail nor be discouraged. We shall endure hardness as good soldiers of Jesus Christ. Remember what He says of all true believers: “We are labourers together with God: ye are God’s husbandry, ye are God’s building.” 1 Corinthians 3:9. {6T 335.1}. Many fail to understand why God permit hardship but God permits us to encounter obstacles, persecution, and hardships, not as a curse, but as the greatest blessing of our lives. Every temptation resisted, every trial bravely borne, gives us a new experience and advances us in the work of character building. The soul that through divine power resists temptation reveals to the world and to the heavenly universe the efficiency of the grace of Christ. {MB 117.1} The path is too narrow that it cannot contain any extra luggage of this world and her attractions.

Peaceful. But the meek shall inherit the earth; and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace. (Ps. 37:11) God assurance for who tread the path to heaven is peacefulness. The wicked are like the troubled sea, when it cannot rest. . . . There is no peace, saith my God, to the wicked.” Isaiah 57:20, 21. Sin has destroyed our peace. While self is unsubdued, we can find no rest. The masterful passions of the heart no human power can control. We are as helpless here as were the disciples to quiet the raging storm. But He who spoke peace to the billows of Galilee has spoken the word of peace for every soul. However fierce the tempest, those who turn to Jesus with the cry, “Lord, save us,” will find deliverance. His grace, that reconciles the soul to God, quiets the strife of human passion, and in His love the heart is at rest. “He maketh the storm a calm, so that the waves thereof are still. Then are they glad because they be quiet; so He bringeth them unto their desired haven.” Psalm 107:29, 30. “Being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.” “The work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance forever.” Romans 5:1; Isaiah 32:17. {DA 336.4}Pr. 3:6 in all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Though the troubles of this world may be furious and beyond our understanding, in the mixed of this Christ promises us peace that passes all understanding.

Shining. Prov.4:7 Wisdom is supreme; therefore get wisdom. Though it cost all you have, get understanding. 8 Esteem her, and she will exalt you; embrace her, and she will honor you. Walking in the path of makes you exceptional and outstanding from the world. We are to reflect the glory of God to a world that is full of darkness. The word of God enlighten our heart any time we diligently study it. A bright light shines upon our pathway today, and it leads to increased faith in Jesus. We must receive every ray of light, and walk in it, that it may not be our condemnation in the judgment. Our duties and obligations become more important as we obtain more distinct views of truth. Light makes manifest and reproves the errors that were concealed in darkness; and as light comes, the life and character of men must change correspondingly, to be in harmony with it. Sins that were once sins of ignorance, because of the blindness of the mind, can no more be indulged in without incurring guilt. As increased light is given, men must be reformed, elevated, and refined by it, or they will be more perverse and stubborn than before the light came. {GW 162.2}. We are to shine the light of God to the people around us to lead them to the path of hope and joy. Care should be taken that we don’t misrepresent the light of God to the world through our character. Our standing before God depends, not upon the amount of light we have received, but upon the use we make of what we have. Thus even the heathen who choose the right as far as they can distinguish it, are in a more favorable condition than are those who have had great light, and profess to serve God, but who disregard the light, and by their daily life contradict their profession.–The Desire of Ages, p. 239. {ChS 96.2}
Fruitful. In a world of spiritual dryness God promises fruitfulness. If you are in the path to heaven it will be appropriate to asked the following questions, have you been fruitful? Have you been fruitful with your wealth? Have you been fruitful with your talent? Have you been fruitful with your time? What are you doing for Jesus now? C. H. Spurgeon. Ps. 65:11 you crown the year with your bounty. Your carts overflow with abundance. God alone can cause to be fruitful in the barren world sin. Ezek. 36:34. The desolate land will be cultivated instead of lying desolate in the sight of all who pass through it. 35 They will say, “This land that was laid waste has become like the Garden of Eden; the cities that were lying in ruins, desolate and destroyed, are now fortified and inhabited.” 36 Then the nations around you that remain will know that I the Lord have rebuilt what was destroyed and have replanted what was desolate. I the Lord have spoken, and I will do it. People should see in us good tree bearing good fruit. True worship consists in working together with Christ. Prayers, exhortation, and talk are cheap fruits, which are frequently tied on; but fruits that are manifested in good works, in caring for the needy, the fatherless, and widows, are genuine fruits, and grow naturally upon a good tree. — Review and Herald, Aug. 16, 1881. {ChS 96.5}. Our fruitfulness is determine by our connection with Christ. As the branch must abide in the vine to obtain the vital sap which causes it to flourish, so those who love God and keep all His sayings must abide in His love. Without Christ we cannot subdue a single sin or overcome the smallest temptation. Many need the Spirit of Christ and His power to enlighten their understanding, as much as blind Bartimaeus needed his natural sight. “As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in Me.” All who are really in Christ will experience the benefit of this union. The Father accepts them in the Beloved, and they become objects of His solicitude and tender, loving care. This connection with Christ will result in the purification of the heart and in a circumspect life and faultless character. The fruit borne upon the Christian tree is “love, joy, peace, long-suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance.” {4T 355.1}
Old. Thus says the Lord: “Stand in the ways and see, and ask for the old paths, where the good way is, and walk in it; Then you will find rest for your souls. But they said, ‘We will not walk in it.’ NKJV. Jere.6:16. The society celebrate new ways of doing things, new discoveries, new doctrine, new fashion an old tells us “ give me that old time religion is good enough for me. Let back to the old doctrine of the Bible. The Sabbath of the lord still stands, the sanctuary teaching is relevant to us today to assure us of Christ ministry for us in heaven. The old path is the path that lead to heaven.
