10 Days of Prayer: January 11-21, 2023 – Day 2 (PDF)

The Prayer Theme: Back to the Altar: Making a Place for God

Suggested Guidelines for Prayer Times
• Keep your prayers short—just a sentence or two on one topic. Then give others a turn. You can pray as many times as you’d
like, just as you talk in a conversation.
• Do not be afraid of silence, as it gives everyone time to listen to the Holy Spirit.
• Singing songs together as the Spirit leads is also a huge blessing. You do not need a piano for this; singing acapella is fine.
• Rather than using up valuable prayer time talking about your prayer requests, simply pray them. Then others can also pray
for your requests and claim promises for your need.

2022 e-Week of Prayer for Youth and Young Adults: November 12-18 (Download Material)

The electronic Week of Prayer (eWOP) is held on the second week of November. It happens on Facebook via the GC Youth Ministries page (https://www.facebook.com/GCYouthMinistries/). However, the videos can also be retrieved from the GC Youth Ministries account on YouTube. The eWeek of Prayer further addresses the theme of the year through videos (1-2 minute). The videos naturally invite commentary, reflection and reformation. Each day is punctuated with quotations from Ellen White and other writers, that speak to the theme.

The material will be available shortly….

Seventh Day Adventist Church Calendar for 2023 (Details)

ALERT: Calendar for 2024

The Seventh Day Adventist Church is an organized denomination that runs almost the same program worldwide. They may live and worship in far-flung places, but the 21 million Seventh-day Adventists worldwide are not only a faith community—they’re a family.

But finding a sense of togetherness can be difficult. One way Adventists can promote community across time zones is by celebrating special emphasis days and events together. The Adventist Church’s calendar of Special Emphasis Days and Events not only encourages unity, it also helps raise awareness of key issues, such as abuse prevention, family and religious freedom.

Adventist Church leadership invites you and your church to join your global family in celebrating these emphasis days and events.

2022 Week of Prayer: November 5-12 (Download Material)

Some 2,000 years ago Jesus gave the invitation “Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men” (Matt. 4:19) to a small group of fishermen on the shores of Galilee. They “immediately left the boat and followed Him” (verse 22). As they spent time with Jesus, their lives were transformed forever. Today Jesus still calls people to be His disciples. Being a disciple begins by following Jesus spending time with Him through Bible study and prayer, following where He leads.

Sabbath School Mission Story – Fourth Quarter 2022 (Download PDF)

This quarter we feature the South Pacific Division, which oversees the Seventh-day Adventist Church’s work in American Samoa, Australia, the Cook Islands, Fiji, French Polynesia, Kiribati, Nauru, New Caledonia, New Zealand, Niue, Papua New Guinea, Pitcairn, Samoa, the Solomon Islands, Tokelau, Tonga, Tuvalu, Vanuatu, and the Wallis and Futuna Islands. God is doing amazing things in this region of 40.5 million people with 518,016 Adventists, or a ratio of one Adventist for 70 people, an increase from one Adventist for 78 people three years ago.

The South Pacific Division has two Thirteenth Sabbath projects this quarter. One of the projects is to establish Hope Channel television and Hope FM Radio in Papua New Guinea. The other project is under the auspices of the division and aims to produce King’s Kids Discipleship Series, five children’s series of 13 episodes each for broadcast and digital platforms worldwide.
